Genealogical Gems from the Internet ArchiveCollected by John Blythe Dobson Policy governing the removal of links from this site The Internet Archive (with which the present site has no official connection) clearly condones linking to its content. Unless I discover, or am informed, that an item listed on this site is actually still available on the web, or that it has been withdrawn from the Archive itself, I will only entertain requests to remove links for a compelling reason. Therefore, authors who object to links being created to their work should contact the Archive to have the item withdrawn from it, and then inform me that the request has been made. If an author insists on the removal of a link to a page while it remains in the Archive, they must prove to me that they are indeed the author. I will only consider a request for the removal of a link from anyone other than the original author of the page if the requester can convince me (as succinctly as possible, please) that at least one of the following conditions pertains to the page in question:
Authors who have been the victim of plagiarism have recourse to the Internet Archives Copyright Policy, which contains a provision for the removal of material under such circumstances. Again, the Archive should be contacted first before informing me.
