The Renaissance Voices’ annual choral celebration of Advent has become a highlight of the holiday season for many Winnipeggers: a time to sip on mulled wine or cider with friends, while listening to good music in an informal, café-style setting. This year, we continue that tradition with “Make We Merry.” We will present some old favourites, together with some new challenging repertoire, featuring soprano soloist Rosemarie van der Hooft. You will hear a wide variety of music of the season, ranging from Renaissance motets to Christmas Spirituals: an eclectic mixture, as always.
